Gulf Coast FReepers, y'all come to the FReeper get together on September 30th at 4 PM. Join fellow patriots for a wonderful afternoon where we reminisce about previous FReeper events, particularly our Clinton protest (we have scrapbooks and news clips). Enjoy inspirational music and good food and drink. All FReepers who can make it to the Big Easy on Sunday afternoon the 30th are invited to join us at Patriot1's home in Metairie, LA (a suburb of New Orleans). You'll recognize her house by the many American flags proudly displayed in her front yard.
When we planned this event (see the original thread, Gulf Coast FReeper Party ), we never imagined the horrendous events of last week. We will therefore include activities to show support for our great country and for the victims of this outrageous act of terrorism. We are already feeling a strong patriotic fervor and have been getting a head start in flag-waving, as shown in the photo below.
Patriot1, Newslady and kiddie FReepers Emily and Mandy
Although there will be some serious issues to discuss, we will all enjoy the camaraderie of other FReepers, and we have some fun things planned. Our mystery guest has prepared some musical parodies especially for this event, and they are a hoot! And, of course, this social would not be complete without a Mary Landrieu parody.
This post is a reminder to FReepers who have already indicated that they plan to come, as well as an invitation to anyone else who would like to join us in a patriotic and fun event. For further details and directions on getting to Patriot1's house, FReepmail her or send her an email at margbaird@aol.com.

I love the picture, particularly all of the flags. Tonight (Thursday) Jefferson Parish is sponsoring another rally at our local baseball stadium. "God Bless America" t-shirts will be for sale at this event. I MUST have one!

GWB Bump. Great speech huh?You better believe it! Newslady and I just returned from a patriotic rally at our baseball stadium. What a fantastic experience. The program was interrupted so that the crowd could watch Pres. Bush's speech live, on a huge screen. I have never seen such patriotism.
It will be great seeing everyone again at our party on Sept. 30th. I know that it will be inspirational and energizing.

I agree that Bush's speech was "out of the ballpark." The democrats have finally stopped the Bush bashing. At least they know when to shut up. Isn't that wonderful!
It'll be fun to discuss such topics with fellow FReepers at the get together. I'm really looking forward to it.

As you indicate, even the Democrats are behaving like Americans again. Looking forward to seeing you Sunday.

I saw McCain on the Tonight Show on Monday. I thought he had switched parties. He was talking like a Republican again. I was real pleased with him for a change.
